Two foreign teachers are talking about which Christmas traditions 2 to follow...
Mary: Listen. Christmas is for praising 3 our Savior 4 , Jesus Christ. It's his birthday!
Joe: I disagree 5 . Furthermore 6 , he is your savior, not necessarily 7 mine or the rest of the school's. Anyway, the mid-winter holiday is older than Christ's birth.
Mary: You just don't get it. Christmas is for celebrating the birth of the Son of God! Jesus is the reason for the season!
Joe: I think you're making too much of this. Let's go with the Santa traditions because they are also about family and kindness, regardless 8 of religion 9 .
Mary: But Santa is just a figment 10 of everyone's imagination 11 ! Jesus is our Savior—Christmas is about Him!
Joe: Look, Santa personifies 12 what's best in people, and how the world could be if everyone stopped being so selfish 13 . Christmas should be about that.
Mary: Well, as the head teacher, I guess it's your decision to make.
