Dialogue A

Beth and Josh just arrived in Switzerland.
Beth: What's on our schedule1 for today?
Josh: There's so much to do. I'm not sure where to start.
Beth: What does the guidebook2 suggest?
Josh: It depends. Do you want to do some outdoor activities?
Beth: The weather's kind of chilly today and I still feel a bit tired.
Josh: Maybe we should just lay back and try to get rid of our jet lag3.
貝絲和喬許剛抵達瑞士。
貝　絲：我們今天有哪些行程？
喬　許：可以做的事太多了。我不知該從何開始。
貝　絲：旅遊指南上有什麼建議？
喬　許：看情況囉。妳想做些戶外活動嗎？
貝　絲：今天天氣有點冷，況且我還是有點累。
喬　許：也許我們應該放輕鬆，設法克服時差就好了。

Dialogue B

Beth: Why don't we do something fun and relaxing today like go on a tour somewhere?
Josh: OK, let me check what's available.
Beth: I would like to tour either a winery4 or maybe a cheese factory.
Josh: Sure, there are lots of wine or cheese tours we can go on. There's even a fondue5 cruise6.
Beth: Let's try the cheese factory tour today and save the fondue cruise for this Friday night.

貝絲：我們今天何不做點既有趣又輕鬆的事情，像是去參觀某個地方？
喬　許：好，讓我查查看有什麼。
貝絲：我想參觀釀酒廠或乳酪工廠。
喬　許：當然可以，有許多這類的行程我們都能參加。甚至還能在船上吃起士鍋呢。
貝絲：那我們今天就去參觀乳酪工廠，星期五晚上再去坐船吃起士鍋吧。

2. chilly冷颼颼的
In the morning, it's really chilly here.

2. lay back放輕鬆
All I want to do is lay back by the pool.
我想做的就是在泳池邊好好輕鬆一下。

3. get rid of...除去／丟棄……
How can I get rid of this guy? He's making me crazy.
我要怎樣才能擺脫這傢伙？他快把我搞瘋了。

4. save A for B把 A 保留到 B
We'll save the chicken for dinner.
我們會把雞肉留到晚餐吃。

　　"either...or..."為一對等連接詞，表『要不就是……要不就是……』，可連接對等的單字、片語或子句。例：
He'll either stay or leave.
（他要不就是留下，要不就是走人。）

We'll either go swimming or do nothing.
（我們要不就是去游泳，要不就是什麼都不做。）

Either he or I am wrong.
（不是他錯，就是我錯。）

注意:
若連接兩個不同的主詞，動詞要隨最近的主詞做變化。
