設定時間表的說法為「set a schedule」，而片語「set back」則是表示計劃因故必須「延期，延後」之意。另外，這個片語也可以指「使……受挫」。



延期
The schedule was set back due to the typhoon.
行程因為颱風而延期。

往後挪
His low test grade will set back his graduation date.
他成績太低，因此畢業日期將會往後挪。

延誤
The flight time was set back because of problems with the airplane's engine.
飛機的引擎出了問題，所以班機時間將會延誤。

使……受挫
Even though she encountered some obstacles that set her back, she continued to work hard.
