【Day 2 取悅客戶】
Joyce bumps into Frank, one of her colleagues from the same department, in the rest area. They begin to talk about their work and share their thoughts.

Joyce: Hey, Frank, how long have you been working here?
Joyce:嘿, Frank,你已經在這裡工作多久了?
Frank: About three and half years.
Frank: About three and half years.
Joyce: So you must be familiar with all these rules and tips on pleasing clients.

Frank: Well, I do know some tips on convincing people and getting business done. What's the matter? Are you having any trouble at work?

Joyce: Uh, as a matter of fact, I am. I have spent so much time researching our products and preparing for the presentation. But it seems so hard to talk clients into buying things.

Frank: Yes, indeed. That's why there are so many things that you have to be aware of.

Frank: Sure. If you want to visit a client, make sure that you make an appointment with him first. You know, he won't expect you to show up without any warning. Moreover, you have to inform him of your appointment again before you head off to his office, or you can do it a few days before.

Frank: Of course. Make sure that you show up on time. It's rude to let your client wait for you, and it will embarrass him if you arrive early, especially when he is unprepared.

Joyce: That's true.
Joyce:那倒是。
Frank: Remember, do not probe in other's business and do not cause any unnecessary trouble. Otherwise, you will leave a really terrible impression on your client.
Frank:記著,不要刺探他人的商業機密,也不要造成任何不必要的麻煩。否則妳會留給顧客一個很糟糕的印象。
Joyce: I got it.
Joyce:我知道了。
Frank: There's one more thing: show your sincerity. If you introduce products sincerely and show that you are actually thinking in the best interest of your client, he will notice it and feel more comfortable about placing an order with you.
Frank:還有一件事:展現妳的誠意。如果妳誠懇地介紹產品,並且表現出妳是真的在為顧客的最佳利益著想,他一定會注意到,而且下訂單給妳他也會感到更放心。

5. place an order 下訂單
例:He will notice it and feel more comfortable about placing an order with you.

(你只要按一個鍵,就可以在網上下訂單。)
※ 小叮嚀:
"place an order" 是固定用法,place 在這裏是動詞,「開出」的意思。如果後面要接下訂單買的東西,要用介系詞 for。
