The Paranormal 1:The Haunted 2 House

It all began one night in May, 1979, in an ancestral 3 home in a small New England town in the United States. The Berini family were all sleeping when Rose, the mother, was awakened 4 by the voice of a little girl saying, "Mama, mama, this is Serena."

Digging into family history turned up a Serena who had been the father Joe's aunt*, but who had died 50 years earlier in the house at the age of five. Being that the very next day the Berinis' daughter, Daisy, almost died during an operation 5 gone wrong, the family believed that the spirit's voice was a premonitory 6 sign of danger. This belief became stronger when the girl's voice was heard several other times, each time before a family crisis 7.

Then, without explanation 8, the voices stopped. However, the Berinis encountered 9 further poltergeist 10 activity with the apparition 11 of a young boy in white several times in the spring of 1981. Following that, a more violent 12 spirit invaded 13 the house throughout the summer.

This experience and many others give clear evidence14 that there are indeed unseen spirits active in the spirit world.
