On my way home from work yesterday evening, I was starving. Suddenly, I saw a Japanese restaurant, so I decided to go in and grab a bite to eat. Everything on the menu looked delicious. I ordered various kinds of sushi1. In no time at all, my table was full of food that I liked. The sushi with shrimp was particularly tasty. I wanted to share it with my family, so I ordered some more to go.
After the meal, it was time to pay the bill. When I saw the check, I was amazed at the total and kept staring at the cash register2. This wonderful meal cost $5,000! It was so expensive that I had to go get more money from the ATM3 next door. Finally, I walked home with a full belly4 and an empty wallet.
昨天傍晚下班回家的路上，我覺得肚子好餓。突然間，我看到一家日本料理店，於是我決定進去吃點東西。菜單上每樣東西看起來都好好吃。我點了各式各樣的壽司，很快地，桌上便擺滿了我喜歡的食物。蝦壽司特別好吃。我想和家人分享這一品料理，所以我又點了一些外帶。
用完餐後，是付錢的時候了。看到帳單時，我對總金額大感驚訝，一直盯著收銀機看。這頓大餐竟要五千元！因為實在是太貴了，我還得到隔壁的提款機去領更多錢。最後，我帶著飽飽的肚子和空空的錢包走回家。

3.ATM n. 提款機（Automated Teller Machine 的縮寫）
4.belly n. 腹部，肚子

（我對總數大感驚訝……）
be amazed at/by... 表『對……感到驚異』。
注意:
表『訝異』的形容詞大多與介詞 at 或 by 並用：
be surprised at... 對……感到驚訝
be astonished at/by... 對……感到驚嚇
Everybody was astonished at his strange behavior.
（每個人都被他的怪舉止嚇到了。）
be astounded at/by... 對……感到震驚
We were astounded by the judge's decision.
（我們對法官的判決感到震驚。）
