Kathy meets up with Dan in the elevator on Monday after work. |
Dan: Hi, Kathy. How was your first day in the marketing department?
Kathy: It went pretty well. We all have to work in a team, and all of my new colleagues are very nice. The atmosphere is a lot better here than it is in the sales department.
Dan: I'm glad to hear that you are happy in your new stress-free environment.
Dan:
Kathy: Enough about me. How are things going with you? Make any big sales this month?
Dan: Yeah, I just received a big order today from a German company. They are already one of my clients, but they just tripled their order on a permanent basis.
Kathy: Wow! So your commission from them has just tripled also?
Kathy:
Dan: Yeah, and I didn't even have to lift a finger. I love this job!
Dan:
Kathy: Well, I don't miss it a bit. I remember nights when I couldn't even sleep because I kept thinking about making a sale. I think that you have to have a certain kind of personality to be successful in sales.
Dan: Well, you can sleep well from now on. I always sleep well. I dream every night about making millions of dollars!
Kathy: I think that money is all you ever think about! See you tomorrow.
Kathy:
