( Jen meets Billy outside his office for dinner.)
Billy: Hey, you`re early.
Jennifer: Yes, out of respect, of course.
Billy: So nice of you. Where should we eat?
Jennifer: I was thinking Mexican. What about you?
Billy: Sounds fine to me. I`d love a margarita tonight.
Jennifer: Hey, who`s that girl? She keeps staring at me.
Billy: That`s Linda, my coworker. Maybe she thinks you`re pretty.
Jennifer: You always know the right thing to say…

珍妮花：是啊，當然要早到以示尊重。
比利：妳人真好。我們該吃什麼好？
珍妮花：我在想墨西哥菜。你覺得呢？
比利：聽起來不錯。今晚我想來杯瑪格麗特。
珍妮花：嘿，那女孩是誰？她一直盯著我看，
比利：那是琳達，我同事。她或許是覺得妳很漂亮吧。
珍妮花：你嘴巴總是這麼甜……
You can never tell these days. 這年頭誰都說不準。
正所謂知人知面不之心，表面上看來如此，但未來發展如何誰也無法預測，這時候就可以說You can never tell these days.句中的tell是「分辨」的意思。
A: I think this young candidate will make an honest politician.
我覺得這個年輕的候選人會是個誠實的政治家。
B: Maybe, but you can never tell these days.
或許吧，不過這年頭誰都說不準。
